Home > Hearing Issues > Adult Issues > Choosing Cost Over Good Hearing

There is a tremendous range in the cost and capabilities of hearing aids. Simple, linear hearing aids without microchips or computer programming are relatively inexpensive. These hearing aids usually are not as effective as the "high technology" hearing aids at amplifying the changing sounds around you.

For some people, the less expensive hearing aids are not a significant compromise. For most people, however, the high technology hearing aids, although more expensive, allow them to understand speech more clearly and more comfortably. Is the improved hearing worth it? Only you can decide. It's your choice.

There are many choices available to you. Our job is to review all the options with you and to help you choose what is best for you and your hearing.
