Successful pediatric fittings call for more than high technology
Phonak and research for children

Enormous progress has been made in pediatric audiology in recent years in early identification, hearing instrument technology, strategies for hearing instrument fittings and language acquisition. New research findings are flowing continually into the development of new, improved hearing instruments for children.

Support of pediatric research projects
In 1996, Phonak USA initiated a sponsorship program in pediatric audiology designed to provide support for research projects looking into areas relevant for fitting children with hearing instruments. A group of independent specialists, all prominent pediatric audiologists, screen all the proposals submitted and recommend which projects should receive financial support.
