Tinnitus,
or "ringing in the ears", is considered the most prevalent medical
condition in the world, yet no drug treatment is generally considered
effective by the medical community. Non-drug therapies that claim
to provide significant relief often involve up to two years of daily
treatment, cost thousands of dollars, and results can vary widely
depending upon the clinic or clinician administering the treatment.
Alternative low-cost systems are often based on principles that
are not technologically valid, do not perform as claimed or are
not FDA-approved. This has left millions of tinnitus sufferers in
search of a practical solution.
Following
one of the most intense research endeavors into the effects of
sound on tinnitus suppression, Petroff Audio Technologies has
developed an entirely new form of FDA-cleared tinnitus masking
sound format called Dynamic Tinnitus Mitigation™.
Dynamic Tinnitus Mitigation (DTM) sound is incorporated exclusively
in the new DTM-6a audio CD system.
DTM
technology is unique in the field because it provides dynamic
(changing) formats of sound that gently distract hearing attention
from tinnitus, as opposed to strictly "masking" over the tinnitus
(see DTM vs Masking). DTM dynamic sound offers significant technological
advantages over conventional non-dynamic (constant) sound,
including sound produced by ear-worn devices used in TRT
and other "habituation therapy" programs.
The
new Petroff Audio Technologies DTM-6a system incorporates the most
advanced tinnitus suppression sound technology ever developed
and can provide effective relief even for severe tinnitus sufferers.
